Deepen Your Practice: Yoga North Workshops & Immersions

Whether you are looking to resolve chronic tension, learn about supportive daily routines from Ayurveda,  enrich your personal practice, or expand your professional toolkit, our Workshops and Immersions offer the time, space, and structure to move beyond the surface.

While a weekly 60-minute class is wonderful for regular maintenance, the longer format of workshops and immersions creates a container for genuine transformation. Over a dedicated stretch of time from three hours to a full weekend, you will step out of habitual movement and thinking patterns, allowing experiential learning, nervous system regulation, and neuromuscular re-education to integrate truly.

Who Are Immersions For?

  • The Curious Practitioner: If you love yoga and want to understand the why behind the practice, dive deeper into anatomy, philosophy, and self-care than standard drop-in classes allow.

  • Yoga Teachers & Therapists: Deepen your therapeutic eye, refine your cueing from the center out, and earn continuing education credits.

  • Healthcare & Bodywork Professionals: Physical therapists, occupational therapists, chiropractors, mental health professionals, and massage therapists looking to add a somatic, nervous-system-informed lens to their clinical work.

Core Immersion Pathways

  • Time for Real Integration: Shift from intellectual understanding to embodied knowing through continuous practice, guided inquiry, and progressive layering of concepts.

  • Neuromuscular & Nervous System Reset: Extended time gives your nervous system the breathing room it needs to release chronic holding patterns, retrain "smarter muscles," and build lasting resilience.

  • Practical, Applied Tools: Leave with tangible techniques you can weave directly into your daily routine, private client sessions, or group classes.

  • Continuing Education & Certification: Most immersions qualify for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Units (YACEPs) and C-IAYT CEUs for yoga therapists and movement professionals.

  • Connection & Community at the Center: Learning doesn’t happen in isolation. One of the most rewarding aspects of long-form learning is the sangha (community) created within the room. You will share space with fellow seekers, caregivers, and movement enthusiasts who share your curiosity—fostering honest dialogue, mutual support, and lifelong friendships.

Yoga Stretching Pose

Focus:

In this immersive training, we will look at yoga asana through a study of anatomy, kinesiology, and SomaYoga methodology & techniques so your own practice and students’ practice can flourish with ease. Specific SomaYoga techniques – such as aligning from the spine out to the largest joints and the extremities, and using self-pandiculation to increase mobility and function – will be studied within the framework of this intensive workshop.

A variety of yoga asana from several categories of postures will be discussed and practiced through the lens of SomaYoga. The curriculum will include a variety of standing poses, forward folds, twists, backbends, pre-inversion practices and preparatory poses for arm balances. We will explore how to use good biomechanics in yoga postures to cultivate and maintain steadiness and ease in yoga asana (postures), how to use the technique of pandiculation to increase mobility, and how to modify, level and use props in postures to progress students in cultivating optimal stability, strength and mobility in yoga practice.

For Who?

Perfect for yoga teachers who want to:
• safely teach poses for each individual’s anatomical brilliance
• practice the art of “seeing” bodies and learn how to help students come out of compensation and dysfunctional movement patterns
• deepen your personal practice and understanding of poses
• teach a more therapeutic aspect of asana by learning how to creatively level poses and use props
• teach asana to many levels and abilities of students
• cue poses from the center out
