Yoga North ISYI Restoring Your Prana Workshop

Restoring Your Prana with Robin Rothenberg

Join Essential Yoga Therapy’s Robin Rothenberg for a Special Workshop | June 6-7 | Held Online

Employing good breath hygiene is the most effective way to cultivate immune and respiratory health from the inside. Functional breathing also serves to stabilize the mind and support resilience as we grapple with feelings of fear and helplessness in the face of COVID-19.

According to yoga and ayurvedic teachings, it is the healthy flow of prana that regulates emotions, digestion, and even immunity. When we leak our prana, we are more prone to anxiety, congestion, infections, allergies, depression, brain fog, and sleep disruption. We may even experience more pain in our body! The breath is our greatest inner resource. However, the key is to learn to breathe less, not more. With informed breath education, your can master the flow of prana and optimize your health by learning how to seal and fill your pranic reservoir.

Robin has researched the scientific basis of the ancient principles of prana and pranayama. She brings forward Western scientific studies and practices that validate and replicate the ancient Vedic teachings. Through accessible experiential processes and interactive lectures, Robin will assist your direct experience of the healing potency of the breath. The tools she offers can be readily translated into your daily life, and can be shared with your students, your family, and your community at large.

What is Prana?

Prana is the animating life force that supports and sustains us—akin to the concept ‘chi’ or ‘qi’. According to the yoga and ayurvedic teachings, it is the healthy flow of prana that regulates emotions, circulation, digestion and even immunity. When our prana is leaking, we are more prone to allergies, anxiety, depression, brain fog, congestion and sleep disruption. We may even experience more pain in our body!

Mastering the flow of prana is paramount to the practice of yoga—and the key to the mastery of prana lies in the regulation of the breath. This is often held out as the purview of only a select, enlightened few. However, Robin has researched the scientific basis of these ancient principles of prana and brings forward Western scientific studies and practices that validate and replicate the Vedic teachings. She offers them in readily accessible ways for help us regular folk experience the healing potency of the breath.
