FAQ's
Do I need a referral?
No, you can book directly. All of our therapists are accepting new clients
What happens in my first session?
The first session is normally scheduled for 90 minutes. This gives us a chance for us to get to know each other and do a thorough assessment. We’ll talk about what’s brought you here, what you’d like to work on, and how these therapeutic practices can best support you moving forward. Session content will depend on individual needs but will regularly include some combination of movement practices, breath practices, Yogic maps, or Yogic or Ayurvedic lifestyle integration. Each session will include a take home sheet with tips and practices.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. We offer online appointments for clients who prefer the comfort and flexibility of meeting from home through Zoom.
How long is each session?
Sessions run from 60-90minutes. Follow up sessions vary in time according to students needs and goals. The frequency of appointments can be weekly, monthly or as needed — we’ll decide together based on your goals.
Is everything confidential?
Absolutely. What you share in sessions stays private, unless there are serious concerns about your safety or the safety of others.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, as this time is set aside just for you. Late cancellations will incur a fee. If you are late to your session, please understand that we will not be able to give you the full time that you had booked.
How do I know if you’re the right fit for me?
Finding the right therapist is important. You’re welcome to book an initial consultation to see if my approach feels right — and if not, we are happy to recommend other professionals who might suit your needs.
Can I claim a rebate through Medicare or private insurance?
At this time we do not accept any insurance as the medical codes for Yoga Therapy are not yet accepted by insurance. Some private health funds may offer rebates — check with your provider for details.
