Yoga Sutra Satsang and Potluck
Join us for a monthy Free Satsang (community gathering)!
We will join in a potluck while we have a discussion about the Yoga Sutras of Pantanjali. Discussion will be based on the book “The Secret of the Yoga Sutra: Samadhi Pada” by Pandit Rajmani Tigunait.
The Yoga Sutra is one of yoga’s foundational texts, and part of a timeless and continuous stream of yogic wisdom. For 2,000+ years, there has been an unbroken lineage of teachers and students studying and practicing yoga as a part of their daily lives.
The practice of yoga is a living tradition as pertinent today as it was when the Yoga Sutra was written.
The power of the Yoga Sutra lies in its applied use in our daily lives and success in practice depends on our quality of mind: with a calm, one-pointed and inwardly oriented mind it is easier to experience the essence of ourselves, of yoga.
We will discuss the main themes of the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali as well as some of its practical, applied wisdom and how it can support you in becoming more one-pointed, joyful, and self-luminous…today.
Lead by various Yoga North teachers.
No previous knowledge or reading of the Yoga Sutra is needed, but helpful.
Free! Bring a dish to share if you wish.
