India is the birthplace of yoga and of the philosophy and teachings of spiritual seekers of all walks of life. Join us on this pilgrimage to sacred sites to study and enjoy the brilliance of the heritage and the wisdom of present day inspired teachers.

Day 1-7 -Khajuraho – Intensive Study with focus on Devi Mahatmyam and tour the sacred sights of Khajuraho in Central India (Arrive Khajuraho March 24 with Travel to Agra March 31)
Day 8 – Agra & Taj Mahal – Explore this spiritual building that is a work of mastery and love
(Agra March 31 with travel to Rishikesh on April 1)
Day 9-15 – Rishikesh – Explore the true city of the Yogis, Ganges and many spiritual ashrams
(Arrive Rishikesh April 1 with day travel to other sites and departure from Guided Tour in Rishikesh April 8)

Brief Details:

Our tour of India will be a two fold experience. We are devoting the first half of our trip to Inspired Spiritual Study in Southern India’s Khajuraho and the second half we will travel and explore the beauty of India’s diverse culture and history in the cities, ancient sacred sites, and ashrams finishing our journey in the holy city of Rishikesh, in the base of the Himalayas along Ganges River.
This will be a rich tour with many other spiritual seekers and world travelers who are hungry for the past and present experience that India has to offer.

Khajuraho- Himalayan Institute’s Shri Vidya Shrine:
7 night accommodations at the Himalayan Institute’s Shri Vidya Shrine, accommodations will be shared rooms with other participants.
All meals(breakfast, lunch, dinner & chai), lodging, study and ceremonies in Khajuraho are included.
Intensive study on Sacred Indian Philosophy will be taught and explored with Indu Arora
SomaYoga practices will be available with Ann Maxwell and Molly McManus during our days together in Khajuraho

A Possible Day in Khajuraho:
5:30 a.m. Greet the rising sun with a warming cup of homemade chai

6:30 a.m. After morning prayers in the Sri Vidya Shrine sit for meditation
7:00 a.m Morning SomaYoga Practice
8:30 a.m. Enjoy a nourishing breakfast
10:00 a.m. Study with Indu
12:30 p.m. A hearty lunch to delight your taste buds
2:00 p.m. Study with Indu
4:00 p.m. Savor the British tradition embraced by India as you refresh yourself with afternoon homemade Chai
4:30 p.m. Optional SomaYoga Practice
6:30 p.m. Supper brings you together again to share the day’s experiences
8:00 p.m. Study with Indu
9:30 p.m. Gather in the Sri Vidya Shrine for evening prayers (verses from Saundaryalahari)
10:00 p.m.-8:30 a.m. Lights out for restful slumber and silence hours to soothe your inner being until prayers or breakfast


  • Travel by luxury coach to Agra for guided tour of the Taj Mahal.taj smalller
  • 1 night stay on March 31 in Agra (breakfast included, double/triple sharing rooms) Ticket to Taj Mahal is included as well as a local tourist guide to Taj and Agra visiting local artists area is included


  • Travel by luxury coach to Rishikesh
  • 7 nights in Rishikesh 1-8th April at an Ashram right in the heart of Rishikesh, close to the famous iron suspension bridge laxman jhula
  • Rooms will be ganga river facing double / triple sharing rooms with bathroom
  • Breakfast are included

Day Trips from Rishikesh:

  • 1 day trip by Toyota Innova SUVs to Devprayag and Glass house
  • 1 day trip by Toyota Innova SUVs to Vashistha Cave
  • 1 day trip by local transportation to SRSG (Swami Veda’s ashram) and Neem Karoli Baba ashram
  • Ganga Aarti Ritual at Parmarth Niketan Ashram followed by Satsang with Swami Ji and dinner @Niketan ashram (the Satsang is subject to change based on Swami Ji’s presence)
  • 1 Satsang with a highly learned Vedic scholar
  • Visit to Shivananda Ashram, museum, and Rishikesh temple

  • International and domestic flights and departure taxes
