Yoga North International SomaYoga Institute (ISYI) in Duluth, Minnesota is known for our Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga Therapy Certification. We are honored to be to be one of the first schools in the world, and one of more than 20 schools to hold accreditation from the International Association of Yoga Therapist (IAYT) for our Yoga Therapy Program– drawing on a progressive approach, blending SomaYoga and therapeutic yoga, bridging these techniques back to classic Hatha postures. Our curriculum is also steeped in yogic philosophy, including the 8 limbs of yoga and sacred text, as well as Yoga's sister science of Ayurveda.

We provide yoga classes in a variety of styles – with more than 20 weekly classes and over a dozen instructors, there is a class to serve everyone – from pain resolution to athletic performance.

Yoga Class Registration

Every student at Yoga North has an account with basic information: name, address, phone number, email and birthday. Your account is how we track your attendance, registration, class card expiration, and is an easy way for students to manage their purchases and class registration from the comfort of home. If you would prefer, please contact us at the studio for support.

We have two types of classes at Yoga North: Registration and Open (signing up works a bit differently for each). We recommend starting with a beginning registration class if possible, depending on your previous experience/ skill level. Familiarize yourself with our schedule and speak with staff to determine the best fit for you.

Relax on Jasper Lake

Yoga (Way Up) North

Yoga North's Hermitage and Home Retreat Center is located on beautiful Jasper Lake just outside of Ely, Minnesota. Jasper Lake is a unique 150 acre clear water lake located on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) and without a public access. The lake is known for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, perch, and bluegills. This is a very private and quiet wilderness lake and a great location for wildlife sightings and photo opportunities.
